Northwest SHARE
Accessibility
Our commitment to an accessible website and how to tell us about a problem.
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Northwest SHARE wants everyone to be able to find a free meal, learn about our programs and get involved. We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Pages are built with clear headings, landmarks and a skip link, and work with a keyboard alone.
- Text and buttons are designed to meet WCAG color-contrast requirements.
- Photos have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages work on phones and when zoomed, without sideways scrolling, and respect your reduced-motion setting.
- Every page is checked with automated accessibility testing before changes are published.
Known limitations
- Our contact and volunteer forms are provided by JotForm; some form features depend on JotForm’s accessibility.
- Some older documents, such as past financial filings and festival flyers, are scanned PDFs or images that may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will provide the information in another format.
- Videos are hosted on YouTube; captions depend on what is available on YouTube.
Tell us about a problem
If something on our site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email info@nwshare.org with the page address and a short description. We are volunteers and will reply as soon as we can.
